The starter house of a Permaculture center on the Big Island, this house is designed to maximize natural ventilation.

The living space is raised up a full floor, stretched long and narrow across the prevailing wind, and opens wide in all directions, using sliding glass doors as economical oversize windows in the tall rooms.
