This community of Eastern Orthodox monks make their living painting true frescoes in churches, and have recently moved into pressing olive oil.

They are very excited about natural building, especially straw bale construction, not least because it creates walls with the massive character of monasteries of eastern Europe.

As they gradually build facilities on their rural property, I visit to advise them on issues of site planning, building layout, and techniques of natural building.
